ODI_WorldCup

Uff this is the ODI World Cup year and guess what the practice match has started. The integral match will start on 05 October 2023 between previous World Cup edition finalists.

Hello Everyone! This is MO😉. As part of this blog, I am going to share some interesting statistics about the ODI World Cup. Let's get started right away.

Introduction

The World Cup was first introduced in 1975 with ODI format, It was a 60 overs per side match and was played with RED ball. Later in the 1987 WC, the overs had been reduced to 50 overs per side.

In the 1992 WC, the WHITE ball was introduced which was a great success in the limited-overs cricket matches. This further helped in introduction of the T20 cricket followed by the T20 WC in 2007 and the rest is history.
